Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into the world to show us who God is and to bring us into a restored relationship with Him.
Jesus lived among us, showed God’s love, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead. Through Him, God offers us forgiveness, hope and new life.
“I am the way and the truth and the life.” — John 14:6
Why Do We Need Jesus?
The Bible teaches that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s purpose for our lives.
We cannot restore our relationship with God through our own efforts. But God loves us and has made a way for us through Jesus.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
How Can I Begin Following Jesus?
Following Jesus begins by responding to Him in faith.
We turn to God, trust in Jesus Christ, receive His forgiveness, and choose to follow Him with our lives.
The Bible says:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
You Can Talk to God
If you want to begin following Jesus, you can speak to God in your own words. You could pray something like:
Jesus, I believe in You. I know that I need Your forgiveness. Thank You for loving me and for giving Your life for me. Forgive me, lead me, and help me to follow You. I put my trust in You and give my life to You. Amen.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to Jesus. You can come to Him as you are.
