About Us

01. What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God – and this is the foundation on which we are teaching and building our work. Secondly, we believe in God’s radical and unconditional love for all humanity, which He proves when sending His Son to die on a cross for the sins of all.
We also believe that God still does miracles today, and does so through his presence, which can be be experienced, and brings healing, deliverance and restoration. As a church, we agree with the official Apostolic creed that is widely used by Christian denominations.
02. Why we started
Frikirken International Church first started in 2005 in Aalborg East as a church plant. It all began with a mission to promote New Testament church life in Aalborg East, where faith in Jesus as the saviour and fellowship between people are at the centre.
New Testament church in our context means to have a church where Danes and Non-Danes can gather together, a place where non-believer can also come as they are and experience the love and power of God in a pure and natural atmosphere.
The first believers as we understood it, had an open fellowship for all and consisted of people of different cultures and backgrounds. It was an atmosphere where people’s faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour drew them closer to each other. They also took the commandment of Jesus to reach to others seriously. Moreover, the people who came to believe in Jesus through them, were also empowered to share their faith, to care for people around them and to continue to grow and to live out their God-given potential.
03. Jesus saves
We believe every living being is called from creation to be in a personal relationship with God. The problem is that when sin entered the world, this relationship has been destroyed and is also why there is evil in the world.
In Romans 3:23 The Bible says we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. At the same time the Bible teaches that mankind cannot be saved through their good works, but only by receiving what Jesus did on the cross. He died for the sins of the world, so that anyone who believes in Him can be saved. Basically Jesus offers to take your punishment.
In the book of Acts 2:21 we read, “Then whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Moreover, in Romans 10: 8-10 and vers 13 we read “And this is the same message we preach about faith. 9 So you will be saved, if you honestly say, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. 10 God will accept you and save you if you truly believe this and tell it to others. 13 All who call out to the Lord will be saved.”
For us as a church, the best decision we believe you can make is the choice of making Jesus your personal Lord and Saviour. If you would like to make this decision right now we invite you to call on Him and pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, Please forgive me for all my sins. For all the wrong I have done against you and others. Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, for the wrong I have done. I believe that you rose from the grave and are alive today. Jesus, save me and come into my life as my Lord, Savior and best friend. Thank you that you love me and for saving me.
In Jesus name, Amen
If you prayed this prayer from your heart, we believe you just got saved/born again. You can now start to walk in your new life with Christ Jesus.
2 Coriantians 5:17 says “So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away: see, everything has become new!” There is a great joy in heaven because of your decision.
We would love to fellowship with you and help you grow in your new life. For any questions or support please contact us here.
