As a church, we want to be an open church there where people are and inviting everyone no matters their culture and spiritual standpoint. It is our ultimate goal to reach out to our city and culture. It all began with a mission to promote New Testament church life in Aalborg, where faith in Jesus as the saviour and fellowship between people are at the Centre. New Testament church in our context means to have a church where Danes and Non-Danes can gather together, a place where non-believer can also come as there are and experience the love and power of God in the pure and natural atmosphere.
Frikirken International Church started in the year 2005 in Aalborg by a few group of people who desires to simplify church again and return to the original idea of the church according to the book of Acts. The church of Acts as we understood it, was an open church for all and made of people of different cultures and background. It was an atmosphere Where the people´s faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour draw them closer toward each other as well as cause them to being people who want to reach out to their culture according to the command of Jesus. Moreover, the people who came to believe in Jesus through them was also empowered to share their faith, to care for people around them and continue growing to live out their God-given potential.
Frikirken International Church consists of the individuals who attend the church and not the building where they are meeting.
You are welcome to experience our meeting this Sunday.
Our mission, vision and values are all reflected in the way we are Church today
Our mission is to promote New Testament church life in Aalborg, where faith in Jesus as the saviour and fellowship between people are at the centre.
Our vision is to be an International church that Shares, Cares and Grow to serve its local community.
Our primary values are; to Love (God, people and the church), Generosity mindset and to keep on learning & growing.
Our vision is to be an International church that Shares, Cares and Grow to serve its local community.
Every believer of Jesus is called to be a witness to the love of God that they have experienced [Matthew 28: 19-20; Acts 1:8). We pursue to share the good news of Jesus Christ through words and action. And the good news is that God showed His love through Jesus, that whoever that believes in Jesus shall not die but live.
Being a follower of Jesus means to love and show compassion to people around you. As individuals, we are at different stages in the journey of life; therefore, we want to create an environment for love, encouragement and support. Supporting and caring for people no matter who they are and where they are in their life journey, is a practical way of showing the love of God (john 13:34,1 john 3:16-18).
As believers each of us is called and commanded to make disciples; therefore part of our vision as a church is to see people moving from whatever state they are to becoming a committed follower of Jesus Christ ((Matthew 28: 19-20; 2 Peter 3:18). "It takes a disciple to make another disciple."
We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From where He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Frikirken International Church believes that the Bible is the Word of God which is the foundation on which we are teaching and building our work. Secondly, we believe in God´s radical, and unconditional love for all humanity. Thirdly, we believe that God still does miracles today, through his visible presence that brings healing, deliverance and restoration.
As a church, we do agree with the common Apostolic creed that is widely used by Christian denominations.

Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart - not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Come as you are!
Frikirken International welcomes everyone no matter who they are and what they believe. In our church, we do invite and welcome those who do not have a church background neither believes in God, those who are not spiritual and those who are just curious about life, faith, Christianity or spirituality in general.
In our church, we pray for people with all kind of challenges in life. Should you be facing sickness and difficulties, or should you have any questions regarding spiritual influence or spirituality in general, you are welcome to come and visit us or by contacting our church.
We point to Jesus:
As a church, we point people to Jesus on the fact that when God sent Jesus, it was not to condemn us but to call us back into a living fellowship with Himself. In the book of John 17: 3 we read ”And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
Jesus himself said that he came to give us life- a new, beautiful and eternal life that begins in knowing him, which means that your new life can start now. Not by you going to church or carrying out sacred rituals, but by you getting to know Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and learning about his life, death and resurrection. For us, this is the beginning of a new life experience. We will like to help you if you desires it.
In the book of Act 2:21 we read, “Then whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Moreover, in Romans 10: 8- 13 we read “And this is the same message we preach about faith. 9 So you will be saved, if you honestly say, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. 10 God will accept you and save you if you truly believe this and tell it to others. 11 The Scriptures say that no one who has faith will be disappointed, 12 no matter if that person is a Jew or a Gentile. There is only one Lord, and he is generous to everyone who asks for his help. 13 All who call out to the Lord will be saved.”
For us, as a church, the best decision one can make in life is the choice of making Jesus the Lord and personal saviour of one´s life. If you want to make Jesus your personal saviour and Lord of your life, we invite you to call on him wherever you are right now, or you can also pray this prayer below.
Jesus, I want to know you and make you my personal saviour and Lord. I call on your name, Jesus Christ, to forgive and restore me, and in my heart I believe that you lived, died and rose again from the dead. With my lips, I confess that you are my Lord. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
If you pray this prayer, we believe you just got saved/ born again. You can now start to walk in the consciousness of your new life in Christ Jesus. There is a great joy in heaven because of your decision.
For any questions or support, please contact us. We would love to fellowship with you and help you grow in your new life.
There are many dedicated volunteer groups in Frikirken International Church. Moreover, there is also room for you to join in a group with your talent and ability. Our congregation is made up of many different people with different background and interest, each with their various skills/ talents/ gifts and it is always enriching when these skills and abilities express itself. What is common for every single volunteer is the desire to see the church grow by sharing their life and caring for people around them. It is the voluntary contribution of many that help create the culture of the church we all desire. Participating as a volunteer is a good way to know people and be- known by others in the church and also gives you a sense of belonging to the church.
We encourage people to use their abilities, gift and talents in serving God and others in the church and around them. There are different ministries and areas you can be involved.
